Our Story

Baker’s Cottage was established in 1993 and since then, we have warmed many hearts through our delicious food. Although there were fewer than 10 bakeries during our early years, Baker’s Cottage has since made its mark, becoming the neighbourhood’s go-to bakery that aspires to create happy moments with our customers. We have also become the largest mooncake producer in Malaysia and a growing mooncake exporter too.

Driven by our customers’ favourable responses, we have adapted as we expand, introducing new concepts and modernizing our store layout for our customers’ comfort. In 2020 alone, Baker’s Cottage opened more than 60 outlets, reaching different parts of Malaysia every month. Today, we have 160 outlets all over the country.

We believe in using the freshest and natural ingredients for our traditional recipes. We apply stringent and consistent quality control in the production of our products that are not only nutritious but carry the value-for-money tag. Besides our well-known mooncakes, our popular products are Roast Chicken, Macau Egg Tarts, cakes and pastries. While we maintain the traditional flavours, we use the latest technology to deliver the best products and to ensure hygiene excellence for our customers’ ease of mind.

In June 2020, Leong Hup International Berhad acquired Baker’s Cottage as a subsidiary. Since our chickens come directly from our own poultry farm, we are able to serve the most inexpensive roast chicken in town. With our farm-to-plate concept, we not only eliminate the additional cost, we also ensure the chickens are fresh and of the highest quality.
